The Savoia Marchetti SM95 is a four engines passenger aircraft who flew for the first time on 8 may 1943. Alitalia bought six examples which started flying in 1947 that rebuilt the Italian Civil Aviation.. On august 6, 1947 was inaugurated the first international route between Rome and Oslo with the SM95C I-DALM, named Marco Polo. In total 20 SM95 were produced in total and the last flight was recorded on september 28, 1954
